Pictures of Gods, Demi-gods - and the rest of the Family!

Zeus

For me, there is only one definitive Zeus - the inimitable Anthony Quinn.

Hera

Queen of the Gods

The bane of Hercule's Life

(I'd be a fool to leave her out, now wouldn't I!)

Ares

The God of War.

His shadow looms large over mortal lives.

But then again, some mortals take the lessons he teaches very much to heart.

On the battlefield - and in the boardroom!

I suspect Ares would agree with Kipling here - although he might put the items concerned in a slightly different order.

An ex- god looks back - with regret?

Knowing Ares, he probably considers this just a minor hiccup in his long term career goals...

Aphrodite

Pretty in pink

Callisto

Hera offered her Immortality - but it was Xena who made her a Goddess.

Hudson Leik's portrayal of her didn't hurt, either!

Don't let that 'little girl lost' expression fool you
This lady is bad news ...
She's a tortured soul - with her own hand wielding the whip!

The Mirrors of Olympus

It's said that the halls of Olympus are lined with huge bronze mirrors, in which the gods can see all the events of the world. Knowing the Gods of Olympus, I suspect they spend more time admiring themselves in them!

Here are a few divine reflections ...

Pert, pretty and in the pink.

As always.

Mean, moody - and magnificent!
Dark, domineering and dangerous to know.
Handsome, heroic - and definitely a hunk.
