Supporting Players

For me, one of the beauties of both the Legendary Journeys and its sister series is the wealth of fascinating subsiduary characters that populate their mythical world.

Among their numbers can be found kings and pirate queens, heroes, villains, would-be sidekicks, theives, cooks and dancing instructors - oh, and a consumate toga salesman!

Here are my tributes to those people without whom Mythical Greece would be a much duller place ...

Autolycus

The King of Theives.

Master of disguise - and man with a heart of gold.

(He's sure - he stole it himself!)

You can be certain that - when he's around - trouble isn't far away.

Salmoneous

A master salesman, who's always got a scheme or two up his sleeve.

Ephiny and Amarice

The Queen of the Amazons
And an Amazon wannabe

Joxer the Mighty

Hardly an unsung hero, since he wrote the song himself!
But a man of infinite diversity
And not above stretching the truth - a little

Iolaus
(The other one ...)

In his own world he'd learnt to survive the only way he could.

But Hercules gave him a new chance and a new life.

Even if he felt like a fish out of water - for a while!

Alcmene and Cyrene

Where would heroes be without their mothers?
